Eight years in his superhero career, Parker is now an experienced and masterful crime fighter, but struggles to balance lives and his superhero. He's aided in his struggle by intrepid Daily Bugle reporter Mary Jane Watson (Laura Bailey), his ex-girlfriend, also NYPD Captain Yuri Watanabe (Tara Platt). Parker is used by his friend and mentor, the respected scientist Dr. Otto Octavius (William Salyers). Spider-Man's experience brings him into contact with other personalities, including Miles Morales (Nadji Jeter) along with his parents, NYPD Officer Jefferson Davis (Russell Richardson) and Rio Morales (Jacqueline Pinol), OsCorp Spiderman CEO and New York mayor Norman Osborn (Mark Rolston), along with Silver Sablinova (Nichole Elise), leader of the private military company Sable International.
The mission to guard the city of spider-Man brings him into conflict with several supervillains. Fisk is sent to prison, but cautions that he was the sole person. Fisk's lack gives rise to a supernaturally powered, demonic-mask wearing gang known as the Demons who begin carving up town for the powerful Mr. Negative, who will corrupt individuals through his touch.
Several different characters--such as Parker's and Watson's childhood friend Harry Osborn (Scott Porter), who's disappeared on a long European vacation, along with anti-Spider-Man podcast host J. Jonah Jameson (Darin de Paul) have voice roles in the major game. The game includes several references including the Sanctum Sanctorum, the Wakandan Embassy, Avengers Tower, Murdock & Nelson Attorneys at Law, Rand Corporation, and Alias Investigations.
